212 "El Molinillo" Peppermill, Grinder
Inspired by Southwestern Native American art. The chinle (pronounced chin-LEE) pattern represents the sun, prevalent in Navajo items emerging in the mid-1800s in Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. The authentic Navajo rug pictured here, measuring 22” x 40”, was carded, spun, dyed, and woven by Mary Yazzi of Many Farms AZ (appx. 14 miles north of Chinle AZ) and completed in November 1980. The grays, blacks, and off-whites are natural colors of sheep’s wool, but the ochre color was derived from pine needles, and the mustard color was derived from wheat. This exceptionally fine example of Navajo weaving required approximately 3 months of diligent work.Turn any meal into an epicurean delight with fresh cracked pepper from a grinder sure to grace any table. Food-safe salad-bowl finish, inside & out. The ceramic Crush Grind mechanism is adjustable from fine to coarse and provides a consistently smooth reliable grind. Also suitable as a salt grinder for rock salt.
